Johan has more than 25 years of Insurance market experience, He has been involved on all sides of the spectrum from working at an MGA, as a producing and placing insurance broker and in senior underwriting positions on both Company and Lloyd’s syndicate level.
He has been involved in most classes of insurance and reinsurance, this varied and diverse background has given him a unique grounding which is greatly beneficial in understanding clients as well as underwriters needs. He has developed a deep understanding of this specialised market that is insurance, he is strategic, tactical and client focused. He is a strong Portfolio Manager, constantly reviewing portfolio performance and encourages active engagement with clients and underwriters to ensure positive outcomes for all. He has an advanced understanding of technology and its use to improve the quality of the MI required by clients, brokers, and underwriters alike.
Johan was elected chairman of the IUA’s Accident and Health working party, a position he held from September 2018 until September 2020.
