Nicholas Branoff

Mr. Branoff earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University in 2011, launched his insurance career in 2010 with internships in London at Marsh McLennan and Guy Carpenter. He was placed in their Aviation and Aerospace divisions and co lead presentations to airline executives in Athens, Greece. This experience cemented his passion for the insurance industry.

After graduation in 2011, Nicholas joined his family’s venture capital company specializing in insuring large habitational real estate portfolios, gaining hands-on experience with large program placements in their Austin, Texas headquarters.

Afterwards, he relocated to Chicago to work as a commercial property underwriter at a leading Managing General Agent and was soon recruited to join Ryan Turner Specialty, a US based wholesale insurance brokerage.

The team became a top national producer and his success in the market led to an opportunity at AmWins Group, where he was recruited to lead his own team focused on Property and Inland Marine insurance.

Nicholas later returned to the family business to help manage its national expansion leading to the sale of the company in 2019 to private equity.

Mr. Branoff went on to build United Risk Partners, a Lloyds brokerage, growing its business footprint across several classes of business and geographies around the world, utilizing both Lloyd’s and Non-Lloyds capacity.

Mr. Branoff is also a co-founder of Subsea Risk, a subsidiary of United Risk Partners.

In addition to his Lloyd’s brokerage responsibilities, Mr. Branoff serves as a founding equity partner and advisory board member of Vehicle Risk Solutions of Texas, a national industry-leading vehicle service contracts brokerage serving foreign and domestic automobile dealerships across the United States.

Mr. Branoff was also an advisory board member for Spotted Risk, and Media Guarantors, an insurance and film bond provider for Hollywood independent film producers, until Spotted Risk was acquired in 2022.

Known for his expertise and leadership in the insurance industry, Nicholas Branoff continues to build United Risk Partners at the evolving intersection of specialty insurance and emerging risks.
